Meet the Team Behind DDI

Nir Merry

President & Chief Executive Officer

Nir Merry joined DDI in January 2021 as President & CEO and was elected to the DDI Board of Directors in March 2021. Nir brings with him over 30 years of leadership experience in the semiconductor equipment and HVAC automation industries.

Prior to joining DDI, Nir held Senior Executive roles at Applied Materials, including VP and Head of Common Solutions Group (CSG) – Applied’s common platform engineering organization and Head of Front-End Products (FEP) Platform Engineering. In addition, Nir served ten years as the head of Applied Engineering Leadership Board (ELB).

Nir holds over 35 patents in the fields of semiconductor equipment, medical devices, and HVAC automation. He earned his MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.

Bill Murvihill

Chief Operating Officer

Bill Murvihill, Chief Operating Officer, joined DDI in 2017. He led DDI’s expansion into new control hardware domains, added software products and expanded the company’s product development bandwidth to increase the velocity of new product introduction. Bill established a global presence for DDI via Value Added Resellers bringing both high-value customer relationships and targeted engineering resources to DDI’s sales channels.

Prior to joining DDI, Bill managed engineering departments for capital equipment companies. He brought to market the award-winning EquipeSoft system software framework. He also established and led an Asian sales and service arm for a US-based software company. He holds bachelor’s degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics with a minor in world music from Northern Illinois University.

Hannah H. Thompson

Vice President of Finance & Controller

Hannah Thompson joined DDI as an experienced CPA with 25 years of experience in Accounting and Treasury functions. Since graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration from Baruch College, City University of New York. She worked for Big 4 accounting firms, technology companies and startups, including seven years as Assistant Controller for a multi-billion hedge fund, Permal Asset Management in New York City.

Tony DiLeonardo

Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Tony DiLeonardo joined DDI in 2021 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining DDI, Tony managed Access Consolidated Technologies, Inc., a technical sales and business development firm located in Silicon Valley. He has served in sales management roles with Danaher Corp, Kollmorgen Corp, and Hercules Aerospace Corp. Tony earned a BSEE from Penn State University.

Gary Daniel

Vice President of Engineering

Gary is a seasoned product development executive with experience managing hardware, software and program management teams to develop complex products. Gary is experienced in multiple aspects of product development, engineering requirements, engineering design, product testing, program management and manufacturing. He holds a BSEECS and MSCS from University of Santa Clara.

Jessyca Hallett

Chief Human Resources Officer

Jessyca joins DDI with 20 plus years of Human Resources Experience largely in the semiconductor industry.  Jessyca has a BA in Pre-law from San Jose State University and a MS in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco.  Jessyca is a change agent known to transform cultures, lead large change initiatives, create inclusive work environments and coach leaders through growth. Jessyca is currently participating in a  Latino Board Leadership Academy to maximize her leadership impact in the community.

Greg Pellemeier

Director of Supply Chain & Quality Operations

Greg has extensive hands-on management and leadership experience in various fast-paced, high-growth and start-up environments, covering all aspects of operations, supply chain, purchasing, material and quality management. He holds a BSBA and MBA from the University of Phoenix. Prior to joining DDI, Greg spent a number of years in Supply Chain Management at Lam, Jabil and Seagate.

Steve Gaub

Director of Manufacturing

Steve Gaub joined DDI in 1998 as Production Supervisor. In 2007, Steve transitioned to the role of Production Manager for the OEM controllers manufacturing. In 2020, Steve was promoted to Director of Manufacturing for DDI. Under Steve’s leadership, DDI doubled its manufacturing capacity and further improved production quality and on-time delivery. Prior to joining DDI, Steve worked at Watkins Johnson in the Semiconductor CVD tool division as Lead Electromechanical Technician and Production Supervisor for the Robotics Wafer Handler systems. Steve holds an AS degree in Electronics Technology from Heald College.
