Meet the Team Behind DDI
Nir Merry joined Digital Dynamics (DDI) as President & CEO in January 2021 and was elected to the DDI Board of Directors in March 2021. In December 2023, he was installed as Chairman of the Board. With more than 30 years of leadership experience in the semiconductor equipment and HVAC automation industries, Nir brings a wealth of expertise in driving innovation and operational excellence.
Before joining DDI, Nir held several senior executive roles at Applied Materials, including Vice President and Head of the Common Solutions Group (CSG), where he led Applied’s common platform engineering efforts, and Head of Front-End Products (FEP) Platform Engineering. He also served for ten years as the leader of Applied’s Engineering Leadership Board (ELB).
Nir is an inventor with over 35 patents across semiconductor equipment, medical devices, and HVAC automation. He earned both his MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
Tony DiLeonardo joined DDI in 2021 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining DDI, Tony managed Access Consolidated Technologies, Inc., a technical sales and business development firm located in Silicon Valley. He has served in sales management roles with Danaher Corp, Kollmorgen Corp, and Hercules Aerospace Corp. Tony earned a BSEE from Penn State University.
Jerry Weingord joined DDI in January 2023 as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Operations. Jerry has 30+ years of leading operations teams with a concentrated focus on developing and launching complex products, designing automation and test equipment, establishing manufacturing strategies, enabling Contract Manufacturers for mass production, building out efficient supply chains, and implementing Quality Management Systems internally and at strategic partners.
Prior to joining DDI, Jerry held leadership positions in the Hard Disk Drive, Electric Vehicles, Management Consulting, Stationary battery storage, and Lidar industries.
Jerry holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and an MS in Management from New York University in New York City.
In addition, Jerry brings with him six US Patents in electro-mechanical motor design for the Hard Disk Drive industry.
Avi Kopelman is a seasoned technology leader known for bridging strategic vision with rigorous engineering execution. He brings a systems-thinking approach to innovation, leading complex, multi-disciplinary programs from concept through global scale. Avi’s experience spans advanced hardware, embedded systems, wireless technologies, and edge AI, with products deployed across networking, smartphones, cameras, drones, and IoT platforms. He has led distributed teams across startups, mid-size companies, and global enterprises, with a proven track record of developing reliable, robust, and manufacturable products at scale. Avi is passionate about building high-performing teams and turning ambitious technical vision into dependable, market-ready solutions.
Jessyca joins DDI with 20 plus years of Human Resources Experience largely in the semiconductor industry. Jessyca has a BA in Pre-law from San Jose State University and a MS in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco. Jessyca is a change agent known to transform cultures, lead large change initiatives, create inclusive work environments and coach leaders through growth.
Mike Hutchinson joins Digital Dynamics, Inc. (“DDI”) as Chief Financial Officer with over 25 years of financial leadership experience across multiple industries, including technology, semiconductor, and SaaS. Prior to joining DDI, Michael previously held CFO and other financial leadership roles at companies deploying innovative solutions including Nanosys, Inc., Foghorn Systems, Inc. and Vocera Communications, Inc. He has helped scale companies from $5M to $100M+ in revenue and managed strategic acquisitions as well as exits. Michael holds an MBA from UCLA and a BS in Business Administration and Accounting from Oregon State University.
