Leadership News at Digital Dynamics

Digital Dynamics (DDI) is pleased to announce key leadership additions as the company continues to strengthen its engineering organization and global execution.

Avi Kopelman has joined DDI as Vice President of Engineering, effective October 16. Avi is a senior technology and engineering leader with deep experience driving complex, end-to-end product development across advanced hardware, embedded systems, wireless technologies, and edge AI. His career spans startups, mid-size companies, and global enterprises, where he has consistently guided products from early architecture and system definition through mass production and global deployment. Avi brings a systems-thinking approach that balances strategic vision with hands-on execution, enabling teams to solve highly complex technical challenges while delivering reliable, robust, and manufacturable products at scale. He has built and led distributed, multi-disciplinary engineering organizations and is known for establishing strong engineering rigor, execution discipline, and product quality—capabilities that will be critical as DDI continues to scale and innovate for customers in the semiconductor and display equipment industries.

This transition follows the retirement of Gary Daniel, DDI’s long-standing Vice President of Engineering and a DDI Fellow. Gary played a foundational role in establishing DDI’s engineering excellence, including leading the development and global adoption of Fusion and mentoring generations of engineers and technical leaders. We are deeply grateful for his lasting contributions.

In parallel, Todd (TC) Mason has joined Digital Dynamics as Director of Systems, FPGA, and Reliability Engineering, reporting to Avi. Todd brings extensive experience in systems architecture, hardware development, and product reliability across complex, mission-critical platforms. He has led teams delivering products from concept through production, with a focus on robust system design, FPGA-based solutions, and long-term product reliability across demanding environments.

Together, these leadership additions reinforce DDI’s commitment to engineering rigor, scalable execution, and the delivery of highly reliable, mission-critical solutions to customers worldwide.
